INTENSE PULSE LASER

Inmode Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive light-based therapy that targets skin imperfections such as pigmentation, sun damage, redness, and uneven tone. Unlike traditional lasers, IPL uses broad-spectrum light to stimulate natural collagen production and improve overall skin texture. At FusionMed, IPL is often combined with targeted physician-led protocols, including PRP, microneedling, or injection therapies, to enhance results and address multiple skin concerns in a single treatment plan.

What Is INMODE IPL Lumecca?

Lumecca by INMODE is an advanced high-intensity IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment designed to dramatically improve pigmentation, sun damage, redness, and uneven skin tone. Compared to traditional IPL, Lumecca delivers higher energy in fewer sessions, allowing for faster, more visible correction of vascular and pigmented lesions.

This treatment works by delivering precise light energy to target excess pigment and dilated blood vessels, while stimulating collagen renewal—resulting in clearer, brighter, and more even-toned skin.

TECHNOLOGY & INGREDIENTS

Lumecca is a breakthrough intense pulsed light (IPL) that delivers up to 3X more energy in the 500-600 nm range to improve efficacy for vascular and pigmented lesions. It is optimized to treat a variety of lesions within fewer sessions.

It allows for complete photorejuvenation in 1 or 2 treatments for most people versus 4-6 treatments with standard IPLs. It also reduces treatment time, thanks to the large spot size and high pulse repetition rate. The strong sapphire cooling tip results in higher treatment comfort.

BEFORE AND AFTER

FAQ

Which areas can be treated with IPL?

Our IPL is most often used on the face as a photo facial. However, it works just as well on parts of the body including the neck, legs, hands, arms, chest, and back.

When will I see the results?

Improvements after one treatment are seen after a couple of days. Complexion will continue to improve up to two weeks after the first treatment.

What is the difference between IPL and laser treatment?

IPL is similar to laser treatment. However, a laser focuses just one wavelength of light on your skin, while IPL releases light of many different wavelengths, targeting various skin concerns. The light from IPL is more scattered and less focused than a laser. IPL penetrates down to the dermis layer of your skin without harming the epidermis, so it causes less damage to your skin.

How many sessions are required?

To get your desired results, you may need three to six treatments. Those treatments should be spaced about one month apart to let your skin heal in between.

Is there any downtime after IPL treatment?

There is generally little to no downtime after IPL. You might experience mild redness, swelling, or darkening of pigmented spots, which typically resolve within a few days.

Is the IPL procedure painful?

Many people find the procedure tolerable. Some discomfort, often described as a snapping or stinging sensation, might be felt during each light pulse. Cooling techniques can help minimize discomfort.
