Overview

Dermal fillers are one of the most versatile non-surgical tools in aesthetic medicine. At FusionMed, we use premium hyaluronic acid (HA) formulations — including Juvederm and Restylane — to restore volume, define contours, and correct structural asymmetries across the face and hands. Our physician-led approach emphasizes anatomical precision and a conservative philosophy: enhancing what's there rather than transforming it.

Benefits

  • Enhances lip shape, definition, and subtle volume

  • Corrects under-eye hollowness and dark circles caused by volume loss

  • Results are reversible with hyaluronidase if needed

  • No surgery, no general anesthesia, and minimal recovery time

Ideal Candidate

Who It's For

Dermal fillers are suitable for adults experiencing age-related volume loss, facial asymmetry, or wishing to enhance specific features. They are particularly effective for those in their mid-30s and beyond who notice flattening of the cheeks, hollowing around the eyes, or loss of lip definition. Fillers are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. A medical consultation confirms the most appropriate products and volumes for your goals.

The Process

How It Works

01

Facial Mapping & Consultation

We begin with a detailed facial assessment to identify volume loss, asymmetry, and areas of concern. Your physician will discuss a treatment plan with specific products and volumes tailored to your facial anatomy.

02

Preparation & Injection

A topical anesthetic is applied to maximize comfort. Filler is injected using ultra-fine needles or blunt-tip cannulas, depending on the area. The session typically lasts 30–60 minutes.

03

Immediate Results with Ongoing Refinement

Results are visible immediately and improve as initial swelling resolves over 1–2 weeks. A follow-up appointment is scheduled to assess final results and make any refinements.

Common Questions

FAQs

How long do dermal fillers last?

Longevity depends on the area treated and the product used. Lip fillers typically last 6–9 months; cheek and jawline fillers may last 12–18 months or longer. Denser formulations used in structural areas (chin, jawline) tend to last the longest.

Can filler be dissolved if I don't like the result?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which rapidly breaks down the filler. This makes HA fillers a low-risk, reversible option. Non-HA fillers such as Sculptra and Radiesse (biostimulants) are not dissolvable and are discussed separately.

Is there bruising or swelling after dermal filler?

Mild swelling is common for 24–72 hours, particularly in the lip area. Bruising is possible and may last up to 7–10 days. Using a cannula instead of a needle in vascular areas reduces bruising risk. Arnica supplements may help reduce post-treatment bruising.

What is the difference between filler and Botox?

Botox & Neurotoxin relaxes muscles to smooth dynamic expression lines. Filler adds physical volume to restore structure and fullness. They address different concerns and are frequently combined in a comprehensive treatment plan — often referred to as a liquid facelift.
